While practicing my cable knit hats, I figured I would use up as much of my old yarn as possible and came up with this XL sized scrappy yarn hat. It was fun and colourful. Although I told Michael it was his, I haven’t seen him take ownership of it yet. It may become another project in the future and is an example of knitting something up without checking the anticipated outcome of the size of the finished project. It pays to take the time and make your pattern work first!
