This recipe became so commonly used, that I think it ran its course. I rarely see it around anymore. To update its appearance, it can be served with pita chips instead of nachos!
Combine the following ingredients in a frying pan and cook until meat is browned:
1 lb lean ground beef
1/4 cup chopped jalepeno peppers and some juice
1 pkg dried taco sauce mix
Cream together and spread on bottom of a glass pie plate:
1-8 oz pkg cream cheese
3 tablespoons mayo
Spread cooked meat mixture over the cream cheese mixture. Heat through for about 15 minutes at 325 degrees. When removed from oven, top with shredded lettuce and cut cherry tomatoes. Serve with nacho chips.
